Susan Jean Howarth

Born: 3/21/1953, Bremerton, Washington
Death: 1/22/2011, Grand Junction, Colorado
Service: 01/26/2011 7:00 pm, Family Home 2330 South Desert Hills Dr.

Suki Howarth, 57, mother of three, died of congestive heart failure on January the 22nd, 2011 at St. Mary’s hospital in Grand Junction, CO. She resided in Moab, UT since August of 1997.

Suki is known among family and friends for her loving kindness and good humor. She was a spiritual woman that felt a personal connection to God; one she expressed with open arms. Everyone had a place in her heart, and in her home.

She valued family above all, and devoted her life to loving and caring for her husband and three children. She was also happy to extend the same love and care to anyone who entered her life in need of family. Suki was also an avid pet lover. She loved them like they were her children. She dearly missed her Jack Russell terrier, Sami, who she now joins in the afterlife. Suki will happily spend eternity entertaining Sami’s insatiable desire to play fetch.

Suki is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Stith. Suki had a special relationship with her Mom, one that was the basis for the great woman she was. They are finally rejoined; together preparing Heaven to be a loving home, patiently waiting to receive the rest of us.

Suki Howarth is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Howarth; two sons, Chad and Luke Howarth; daughter, Kelsey Howarth; and two sisters, Pam Deneau and Pat O’Donnell.

They Live OnThey Live On

   Those we love remain with us
   For love itself lives on;

   Cherished memories never fade
   Because one loved is gone.

   Those we love can never be
   More than a thought apart;

   For as long as there’s a memory,
   They live on within our heart.
