Born: 10/22/1953, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania He retired from the National Park Service after many years at Canyonlands and Arches National Park. He is survived by his brother Robert and many dear friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. At Jay’s request cremation has taken place and friends will gather in Castle Valley and Thompson to celebrate his life. Tributes 11/29/2017 - Jay was a good and honest man. He helped me get out of the Colorado River back on March 3, 1989 when I rolled my vehicle into the drink from black ice. He always had a kind word to say and a wonderful smile. I'll miss seeing him.
