Bernice Lucile O'Neal

Bernice Lucile O’Neal, 83, passed away at Canyonlands Care Center Monday September 12, 2011.
Bernice was born on November 25, 1927 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin to Carl L. and Jennie T Merrill Weidner. Grew up in Wisconsin and married George Braford. That marriage brought Sharon and Walter. They moved to Arizona and lived there until her husband George passed away in 1959. She returned to Wisconsin and later met and married LeRoy F. Struble. That marriage brought together LeRoy D., Madge L. and Benton L. Struble. LeRoy had seven children when married Bernice. Leroy and Bernice moved out west and settled in Moab in the Spring of 1965. Her husband LeRoy passed away in May of 1984 and her son Benton followed later that year. On November 26, 1987 she married Raymond G. O’Neal who had 6 children. Raymond passed away November 13, 2001.
Bernice loved all her 3 families. In her younger years the family would go fishing, sometimes camping. She made clothes for family and loved to embroidery pillow case, having fresh flowers and being involved in her church, where she sang in the choir with Ray. Bernice had a great caring and shared with all people.
She is survived by Sharon Emley of Virginia, Walter Bradford of Wisconsin; LeRoy Struble, Madge L. Mason both of Utah step children Deanna Elsie, Laurel and Donald from the Struble marriage and Terry, Sandra, Kimberly, Renee, Randy and Ricky from the O’Neal marriage; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by all three of her husbands George, LeRoy, and Raymond, a son Benton, step-children Donna, Darlene, and Ted.
Funeral Service will be held Friday September 16, 2011 at 1:30 pm at the Moab First Baptist Church. A viewing will be held Thursday September 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Spanish Valley Mortuary. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
