Moab- Mary Ann Henningson, 88, passed away Monday October 15, 2007 at
the Allen Memorial Hospital.
Mary was born January 25, 1919 to Edwin LeRoy and Mary Ann Williams
Jones in Helper, Utah. She attended school in Carbon County. She married
MJ Henningson on May 12, 1937. They lived in Montrose, Colorado and
Helper, Utah until 1954 when they moved to Moab, Utah.
Mary was a florist and owned her own Flower Shop. She was the top
designer in Utah in 1952. When she moved to Moab she opened the first
floral shop in Moab. After she sold the floral shop in 1960 she stayed at
home pursuing her many hobbies, which included gardening, crocheting,
embroidery, oil painting and cooking. Mary also belonged to the Moab Art
Guild and the DUP.
She is survived by her son Royce Henningson; two daughters Pat (Jay)
Marshall, and Robin Cronk; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1
Funeral Services will be held Friday October 19, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the
Spanish Valley Mortuary 386 North 100 West, Moab. A viewing will be at
12:00 noon that day.
