Robert Q Wylie
Death: 3/9/2012, Moab,UT
Robert Q Wylie, 82, passed away at his home on March 9, 2012.
Bob was born September 26, 1929 to Chester and Leona Weber Wylie in
Davenport, Iowa. He grew up in Davenport graduating from high school. He
joined the navy during the Korean Conflict and served his country for 2
full terms. After leaving the navy he went to trade school and became a
plumber where he worked for the union until he retired. He was involved in
the foster child program in Iowa and cared for approximately 89 foster
children in his time.
Bob moved to Moab, Utah after he retired and enjoyed being with the
boys at the American Legion Hall and talking with his friends at the Rio.
He is survived by a daughter Natlie Wilkerson and a son Christopher
Wylie both of Iowa; a grand daughter Genevieve Migala , and numerous
At Bobís request cremation has taken place, and no formal service is
planned but, we would like you to join us on Friday March 16 at 4:00 pm at
the Rio for a toast to Bob.
