Born: 12/21/1925, Niagra Falls, New York Elizabeth Rose (Betty) Baker December 21, 1925-January 16, 2008 Betty was born in Niagara Falls, NY to Robert and Margaret (Jones) Newman on December 21, 1925. She spent her childhood and attended schools in Niagara Falls. She was married to Harry W. Schrader from 1944 until 1969. She enjoyed a life long career as a secretary. Her favorite positions were Secretary to the Dean of Students at Cornell University and as a secretary in a variety of departments at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She was also a transcriber for the Federal Courts in Tucson. In 1977 she married Fred L. Baker in Tucson, AZ. Betty and Fred enjoyed many activities such as flying their small plane, ballroom dancing, boating, motorcycle riding and RVing through out the United States and Mexico. They settled down in Moab, Utah where they made many wonderful friends and became deeply involved in the Catholic community. Betty is survived by her children Paula (Schrader) Rosen of Claremont, NH, David Schrader of Sebastopol, CA, Beth (Schrader) O’Barr of Tucson and her daughter Lynn ( Baker) Luball of Grand Jct., CO. and her many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass was held for Betty Saturday January 19, 2008 at 10:00 am with burial at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
