Long time Moab resident Margaret Torres passed away on December 9th after a brief illness. Margaret was born on March 1, 1924 in Olathe Colorado. Married Nick Torres on Aug 28th, 1943. They moved to Moab in the 1950"s. They raised 11 children, Mike Torres deceased, Nickey Alba deceased, Nicomedes Joe Junior Torres deceased, Sarah Aderman of Idaho. Roger and Espie Torres of Elko Nevada, Deanna and Jim Whittaker of Lubbock Texas, Jesse and Ann Torres of Elko Nevada, Lillian Garcia deceased, Laurie Torres of Salt Lake City Utah, Lisa Torres of Moab and Monica Torres of Kirkland New Mexico. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren, was a member of the Catholic Church. Margaret was a very kind, helpful and caring person. During her life journey she touched the lives of many people. Margaret's wish was to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be at a later date when weather permits on the Lasal Mountains as was her wish. Memorial date and time will be posted in the Moab paper at a later date.
