Clyda Pauline Lincoln died at home on Thursday February 20, 2014 at 1:35 pm. She returned to her parents and heavenly home after battling cancer for over 5 months.

Clyda was born June 10, 1949 in Moab, Utah, to Harold Emile and Eliza Jane Young Cors. Clyda was their only child. Clyda lived and grew up in Moab, Utah.

She worked at Canyonlands Motel as a maid until 5 o’clock and then would go to Zion’s bank, First Security Bank, and the old employment office, and clean them.

She met Fred Lincoln through a pen pal advertisement in the “Globe”. They became pen pals. Fed was from New York, he came to visit her in Moab and they were later married, February 19, 1981 in Moab, Utah. They lived in New York for a short while before returning to Moab. Later she and Fred were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti temple on April 20, 1990. Living to see her 33rd wedding anniversary was one of Clyda’a goals. And She made it! She passed away a day later.

Clyda collected unicorns, miniature trucks, and loved animals. She had a dogg, cat, guinea pigs, and many rabbits over the years. She loved to grow flowers and had a garden. She like to fish and was proud of the large bass she caught at Ken’s Lake. She also liked to catch cat fish from the Colorado River. Clyda loved the Jazz basketball team as well. Her favorite color was pink. She liked to put together puzzles and do paint by number paintings. She loved Christmas! Clyda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she was proud to be a member and was active all her life.

She is survived by her husband Fred, and step children Fred, Laurie and Michael; brother and sister in laws Phyllis Stevenson, Melvin (Barbara Lincoln, Mary Daniels, Evelyn (Steven) Robinson, Melford Lincoln, Nancy (Jayne) LaPage and numerous nephews and nieces.

2/21/2014 - We have known and loved Clyda since the 1960's when our daughter attended the same school. She was always cheerful and happy, and I have always admired her courage and loving ways. She will be missed. - Richard and Mary Jane Cozzens

They Live OnThey Live On

   Those we love remain with us
   For love itself lives on;

   Cherished memories never fade
   Because one loved is gone.

   Those we love can never be
   More than a thought apart;

   For as long as there’s a memory,
   They live on within our heart.
