Born: 10/4/1925, Burlington, Iowa Death: 10/25/2014, Moab, Utah Service: 11/03/2014, 11:00 am, Milt's Stop and Eat Interment: Grand Valley Cemetery
Milton E. Galbraith, a long-time resident of the Moab Community, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014, in his home surrounded by loved ones. Milton was born in Burlington, Iowa, October 4, 1925. He married Audrey McKasson, his wife of 63.5 years, in Burlington on March 19, 1951. Milton and Audrey moved to Moab in 1954 during the uranium boom and built Milt's Stop and Eat, which opened Labor Day that same year. Milt's was their livelihood for 27 years. Milton served his country in the Navy during WWII and was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. Milt was an avid motorcycle rider; and, upon retirement, golf became his passion. Milton was a member of Masonic Lodge #30, Shriner's El Kalah Temple, United States Golf Association, Moab Community Church, and a life member of American Legion Post 54, and BPOE (Elks). His family was his major source of happiness, consisting of his wife, Audrey, Moab, Utah; two daughters, Janet Bisceglia, Hampton, New Hampshire, and Diane Park, Denver, Colorado. Janet has two children, Bradley Kallsen and Lindsey Shoemaker; Diane's children include Bryan Park, Corinne McBrier, and Kyle Park; he was the proud great-grandfather of five. The family asks that any donations be given to Moab Community Church in lieu of flowers.
Our family is grateful for his legacies: Milt's Stop and Eat and MOAB.

They Live On |
Those we love remain with us
For love itself
lives on;
Cherished memories never fade Because one loved
is gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought
apart;
For as long as there’s a memory, They live
on within our heart.
