Jerry Lee Walker, 84, passed away August 2, 2015 at Moab Regional Hospital.
Jerry was born December 13, 1930 in Moab, Utah to Vivian Philander “Krug” Walker and Agnes Somerville Walker. Jerry went to school in Moab graduating from Grand County High school. He was a star football and basketball player for Grand County High. After high school he joined the Air Force and later joined the FAA where he made his career as a Radar Tech. FAA moved him around and he lived all over the USA fulfilling his work duties. After his retirement he moved back to Moab in the 1980’s.
Jerry loved sports, and was a professional bowler. He also had a great love for music. He had recording studio in his home that he used for himself and others. He would sing karaoke when given the opportunity.
He is survived by his wife Clara “Lou” of Moab; 5 children Mike, Kirk, Carolyn, Jim, Christa; a brother Jimmie Walker; a niece Wendy Tibbets, numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, siblings Patsy, and Jack.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Spanish Valley Mortuary. Interment will follow at the Grand Valley Cemetery with Military Rites.
