"What do you say in a moment like this, when you can't find the words to tell it like it is. Just close your eyes and let your heart lead way." -Reba

Stacey Aaron Downard (Vickers) was born on January 8, 1971 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was raised in Moab, UT for most of her life. She was the daughter of Richard Vickers and Beverley Neal. She was sister to Shannon Lammert, Colby Lilly, and Ashley Lilly. She was married to Joseph Michael Downard. Mother to Shanea, Trae, Zachary, Nicholas, and Tallen Downard; mother in law to Brandon Yazzie, and Makenzie Wilson; Grandmother to Tayton and Camryn Downard.; And Aunt to Kaelyn and Brayden Lammert, and Braelyn Lilly.

She will be reunited with her grandparents Edward and June Neal, her father in law Robert Downard and her father Richard Vickers.

On November 22nd heaven received another angel. She passed away in her home of natural causes. Growing up in a small town, it is easy to know everyone. But to have the impact that Stacey had on all of us was one of a kind. She gave the best hugs and had the biggest heart. She was genuine and always made you feel welcomed in her presence. I remember hearing all the kids call her mama Stace, when they would come over to hang out with Nea or one of the nephews. She loved that and the kids so much. Stacey also loved music, to play that music loudly, watching movies, Christmas lights, and crunchy ice. For those of you who didnít know Stacey you would probably recognize her by her fast truck and big hair. We will forever miss her laugh and her warm embrace. "Holding you, we held everything" -Garth

We want to say thank you to the Moab community for all of your condolences. You reaching out and sending your love and prayers mean a lot to us all. Thank you to Moab EMS and Police Department. Your professionalism and empathy was impactful. And we appreciate what you all do for our community.

Funeral Services will be held Friday December 1, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Moab LDS 400 North Chapel. You may celebrate her life with her family on Thursday November 30, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Spanish Valley Mortuary.

They Live OnThey Live On

   Those we love remain with us
   For love itself lives on;

   Cherished memories never fade
   Because one loved is gone.

   Those we love can never be
   More than a thought apart;

   For as long as there’s a memory,
   They live on within our heart.
