Julia York Shepardson, 65, died peacefully at Sangre de Cristo in Pueblo, CO on March 11, 2020 at 3:10 pm surrounded by her family and friends.

Julia was born November 18, 1954 in Moab, Utah to Garth and June Tangren. She grew up in Moab, graduating from Grand County High School. After high school she left Moab for 12 years to start a family. She then returned to Moab where she was able to join the Grand County School District. She enjoyed driving bus for special needs and preschool children. Throughout her 25 years of driving she loved each one of her kids. She enjoyed the get together with her co-workers, working in her yard, arts & crafts, and especially family campouts.
She is survived by her daughters Desiree (Amy) of Colorado Ava Dawn (Kelly) of Colorado; a brother Shane of Moab; sister Shauna (Kenny) of Moab, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Garth, and June Tangren, her husband Vern Shepardson and a sister-in-law Shannon Shepardson.
A Graveside Funeral will be held Friday March 20, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Grand Valley Cemetery on Sand Flats Road. A viewing will precede the service at Spanish Valley Mortuary from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.
