OBITUARY

Tommye Lee Paddock passed away peacefully at home in Moab, Utah, on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the age of 79.

Tommye was born in at the old Saint Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, on February 17, 1945, to William and Pearl Kingsley.

Tommye married Doug, the love of her life, on December 14, 1963. They had two daughters, Dawn and Stacey, who have always been her pride and joy. If you knew Tommye, she was always up for an adventure. In 1973, Doug and Tommye packed up the family and moved to Moab, Utah, where they built their home filled with of love and laughter.

Known for her “more fabric is always better” philosophy, Tommye’s home has always been a treasure trove of textiles, where the only thing more abundant than fabric was her huge smile and infectious laugh. Her quilts are more than just pieces of fabrics sewn together; they were genuine works of art filled with love that will provide warmth and comfort for all of those who were lucky enough to receive one.

Tommye is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Douglas, her two daughters, Dawn Wilson and Stacey White (Kenneth), and five grandchildren (Brandi, Emily, Eric, Blake, Lena). Her children and grandchildren were most precious to her, and she would take any opportunity to brag about them to everyone.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date to give every person who loved her an opportunity to share stories and remember her life.

Family and friends are invited to share tributes online at SpanishValleyMortuary.com or SVMC.US
