OBITUARY

Carol passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. She was born on May 23, 1939, in Tolleson, Arizona, to Frank and Verna Bartlet. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sister Norma Arbuckle, and her high school sweetheart-husband Claude “Butch” Lightfoot. Carol is survived by her children Dennis Lightfoot (Stella), Terri Nunn (Barry), Pam Schocknmyer (Jerry), Kevin Lightfoot (Tracey), 14 Grandchildren and 24 Great grandchildren.

She moved to Corona, California, when she was seven, where she would later meet her future husband. They were married in Bellville, Illinois, on May 9, 1958. Her first Job was at the Naval Ordnance Lab as a secretary. They moved to Moab, Utah, in 1965, when Butch was transferred to the Missle base in Green River.

They would later open an electronics store in Moab, Lightfoots tv and appliance. Carol was involved in a lot of different things. She drove dune buggies, square danced and enjoyed camping with friends. Carol and Butch would later retire, then sail in the Caribbean on a sailboat. Sailing in the British Virgin Islands would become some of Carol's fondest memories.
