They Live OnThey Live On

   Those we love remain with us
   For love itself lives on;

   Cherished memories never fade
   Because one loved is gone.

   Those we love can never be
   More than a thought apart;

   For as long as there’s a memory,
   They live on within our heart.

OBITUARY

Our happy, full of spirit, thoughtful, joyful, serving, number one grandma, kid at heart, caring mother and devoted wife passed away on September 1st, 2024.

Anna Marie Scow was born to Neva Fiske in Waverly, New York on July 6th, 1953, and was the oldest of seven children. She grew up in Sayre, Pennsylvania where she was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the age of 14.

She went to Ricks College for a short time (now BYU Idaho), then worked in the finance department of the LDS offices in Salt Lake City.

In 1975 she met and married her sweetheart of 48 years, Alfred Glen Scow for all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. They have 7 children. Mandy (Dave) Leech; Holly (Andy) Peralta; Braden (Amy) Scow; Adam (Tori) Scow; Heather (Marc) Gee; Jacob (Nikki) Scow; Jared (Christy) Scow.

She is survived by her husband Alfred Glen Scow; her mother Neva Mae Fiske; Brother Benjamin Fiske; two sisters, Nancy Cook and Bonnie (Roger) Flandro; 33 grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brother and sister in-laws and many friends who she counted as family.

She held many church callings throughout the years, but most often was in a teaching position. Anna Marie loved teaching no matter where she was at. Teaching at home to her children, teaching in church as a Gospel Doctrine teacher, 3 times, and teaching In Moab where she became a highly sought out substitute teacher. It was a passion of hers and those around her loved it and knew it.

Anna Marie and Al had a Carpet Cleaning business in Moab for 28 years. They felt their customers were and truly are their friends. Keeping it just them felt like they could keep a more protective eye on their customers, and know the job was well done.

She cherished every second she was able to spend with her family, and when her grandchildren came to the house, her face lit up and she became the happiest person around. She kept a smile no matter how difficult things were, while continuing to be thankful to Heavenly Father for her continued blessings, and never missing a day to wish and pray for the happiness, health and safety of her family and those around her. Nothing was more important to her than her family, her Al and her Savior.

She was proceeded in death by her 3 brothers Jeffrey Fiske, Richard Fiske and Daniel Fiske; Grandparents, Eleanor and Chester Lampman; Mother and Father in-law Nelma and Mansel Scow.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Moab LDS Stake Center at 701 Locust Lane, Moab Utah. A viewing will be held Friday September 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Spanish Valley Mortuary and one hour prior to the service at the church.
